Alexander
Wang and Adidas Originals confirmed their rumored collaboration at the close of
the Wang’s Summer/Spring 2017 fashion show when
#WangSquad members hit the runway in
black tees, sweatshirts, hoodies, basketball shorts and track pants bearing the
German sportswear giant’s iconic white stripes fashion equivalent of the
surprise album drop by unveiling an 84-piece collaboration with Adidas
Original, including clothing and sneakers, all of it unisex which the duo has
worked for over six months. Wang playfully re-imagines the brand's iconic logo
on T-shirts, hoodies, and tracksuits, and adds a bit of cool-kid magic to the
already hot footwear. Images from the look book, shot by
Juergen Teller and notably featuring Rocco Ritchie (i.e Madonna's 16-year-old
son). The collection hits stores sometime in the spring (expect there to be a
big unveiling), and for this in New York City on September 11th, a roving
pop-up truck will be selling a limited selection of the collection.
Until then, you can check out the images here
and start saving your pennies now. Its the
first of which had the Wang x Adidas team selling select pieces from the
sporty, much-hyped range out of the back of a delivery truck on Canal Street,
among other New York City
Thankfully, unlike the previous
releases, Wang x Adidas’ latest drop will happen at Adidas Originals and
Alexander Wang stores, both brands’ e-commerce sites and more than 140 retail
locations worldwide — no truck-hunting required. In addition, all items from
the collection will be available. Based on what we’ve seen so far, prices
should range from $80 to $180.
Collections will be available on
April 1 so save the date then mark them again for April 15, the date of the
full Wang x Adidas restock. See the newly-debuted Alexander Wang x Adidas
Originals pieces below.
