The 2015 CFDA Awards which was given during a glamorous, star-
studded ceremony at Alice Tully Hall at
Lincoln Center in New York City. Each year,
the "Fashion Oscars" (as they're often
called) come closer to rivaling the high-
profile Met Gala as one of fashion's biggest
nights. From the star presenter Kim Kardashian West who took to Instagram
to announce that she will be presenting the
CFDA Media Award to Instagram founder Kevin
Systrom at this year's June 1st CFDA Awards.
Other presenters who presented yesternight were Taraji P. Henson who presented the
Accessories Award, Amanda Seyfried presented
the Womenswear Award and Joshua Jackson
presented the Menswear Award.

These are the winners for CFDA 2015
The nominees and winner for the Womenswear Designer of
the Year Award were Joseph Altuzarra for
Altuzarra, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Lazaro
Hernandez and Jack McColloughfor Proenza
Schouler, and Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen
[Won ]. for The Row.
The Menswear Designer of the Year Award
nominees were Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne
for Public School, David Neville and Marcus
Wainwright for Rag & Bone, Thom Browne, Tim
Coppens, and Tom Ford [won] .
For the Accessory Designer of the Year Award,
the nominees were Irene
Neuwirth, Jack McCollough, Alexander wang and Lazaro
Hernandez for Proenza Schouler, Ashley Olsen
and Mary-Kate Olsen for The Row, and Tabitha
Simmons [won].
Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne for Public
School,Rosie Assoulin [won] and Ryan Roche were
nominated for the Swarovski Award for
Womenswear.
The nominees for the Swarovski Award for
Menswear are Shayne Oliver for Hood by Air [won],
Alex, Matthew and Samantha Orley
for Orley, and Ariel and Shimon Ovadia for
Ovadia& Sons.
For the Swarosvki Award for Accessory Design,
the nominees are Paul Andrew and Eva Zuckerman
for Eva Fehren, and Rachel Mansur and Floriana
Gavriel for Mansur Gavriel [won].
The Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award,
named for the fiercely independent, four-time
CFDA Fashion Award winner, was presented
to Betsey Johnson.
The Media Award, given in honor of Eugenia
Sheppard, the influential journalist who
revolutionized fashion reporting during her time
at the New York City Herald Tribune, was given to Instagram.
The Founders Award was given in honor of CFDA
founder Eleanor Lambert who is widely credited
with putting American fashion on the map, will
go to Millard "Mickey" Drexler, Chairman and
CEO of J.Crew Group, Inc.
The International Award went to Maria Grazia
Chiuriand Pierpaolo Piccioli of Valentino for their
creative contribution to the international fashion
stage.
The fashion crowd had a real treat.
